Ayurvedic Vinyasa Yoga

Hailey Raley

A graduate of Midtown Yoga's 2014, 200-hr Vinyasa teacher training, Hailey comes to us with fresh eyes and a contagious, enthusiastic energy.
 
Yoga peeked an interest to her in 2010 when she was working as a pole fitness instructor. Having a gymnastic background, she was naturally drawn to the balance of strength and flexibility found in the practice. However, her interest for yoga became a love for yoga when Hailey started to notice the healing qualities of yoga in her body and mind. Prior to her focus on pole fitness, she played rugby for 7 years.

"Yoga changed my life physically. I had a lot of wear and tear after playing a high impact sport for so many years. I came to yoga searching for an increase in flexibility for pole fitness. In addition to, I found a way to gently strengthen, repair, and rebuild my stabilizer muscles that I had damaged and neglected for so long. I am stronger than ever! I'd also like to add, Teacher training was such an eye opening experience for me. I experienced the physical benefits of yoga on my own but getting my RYT-200 showed me how to find balance in my body, mind,and spirit; on and off the mat. That is what yoga is all about and I am so excited to share this experience with everyone."

Kandace Stewart

Kandace is a lifelong dancer trained in classical ballet, hip-hop, modern dance, competitive cheer and Pom.  She came to yoga in search of balance and eventually decided to become a certified Yoga teacher.  She trained for her certification at Midtown Yoga and graduated from the 200 hour YTT program in December 2014.   Kandace is an avid runner and her vinyasa practice is often tailored for runners.  She has found the practice of yoga helps her with both recovery and breathing.  

Caroline Schmidt

Caroline is a natural vinyasa teacher, and effortlessly imparts her enthusiasm and affection for yoga. She favors creative transitions and deep opening. Her style is reminiscent of Shiva Rea, but her spirit is all her own. She is a bright light and you know it when you meet her. You’ll feel it when you come to her class.

This class brings balance and order to the body and mind by applying ayurvedic principles to a vinyasa yoga practice. As the seasons and our busy lives constantly shift and change, ayurveda helps us thrive in the midst of our constantly changing situation.
