From her first yoga class, Yolandrea felt an instant shift in her total awareness and considers yoga to be perfect for simultaneous nourishment of the mind, body, and spirit. She enjoys sharing her passion for yoga with others, and with her welcoming and jovial personality, she employs a holistic approach to teaching by incorporating breath awareness, physical alignment, and yogic philosophy into each class. She has attended workshops with Rodney Yee, Cyndi Lee, Jennifer Brilliant, Richard Freeman, Chris Coniaris, Hart Lazer, Shiva Rea, Tias Little, and Jim Bennitt. She has studied with Sarla Nichols since 2002, is an E-RYT 500 credentialed teacher, and has been teaching since 2004. Yolandrea has a "bionic" knee, and as a Certified Yoga Therapist, she enjoys working with others who have had injuries and knee or other joint replacements and helping them to fully benefit from their yoga practice. Private yoga therapy sessions may be scheduled at Midtown Yoga Too.

This class focuses on proper body alignment while practicing the traditional yoga postures. Foundation level.
TGIF Happy Hour - Community
Does the end of the work week have you feeling shaken, stirred or maybe even a little mixed-up? Well...leave the job worries behind and toast to life. This class is the perfect way to end the week and begin the weekend! Yogis are offered the opportunity to unwind the mind and to soothe the body through a stimulating flow of asanas suitable for everybody and balanced by a long savasana. Modifications are offered throughout class, allowing each student to benefit from each pose. Open level. This class is offered at a discounted fee in order to serve a wider community.
Meditation and Pranayama
The word Prana literally means "to breathe forth". The word yama means "restraint" or "control". In this class, students will learn breathing techniques as a means to deepen meditation. Both meditation and pranayama methods taught each month will vary in order to introduce students to different styles of practice.
Yoga for the Buddha Body
For students with curvier, rounder bodies! Learn how the practice of yoga affects our lives both on and off the mat. Through meditation, pranayama and asana, students will experience the power of yoga. Modifications to poses are offered throughout the class, allowing every student to benefit from each pose. Good Vibrations - Community
Laughter encouraged in a laid back atmosphere! From the sound of OM at the beginning of class to the Dedication of Merit at the end, students are guided through a series of poses to release tension in the body and to relax the mind. A perfect mid-week revival! Variations are given in this multi-level class so that everyone can experience the power of yoga. Open level. Yoga Nidra and Restorative
Rest the body and reset the mind! Experience a deeper calm through restorative postures combined with a Yoga Nidra practice. Restorative postures are practiced with the support of props to allow the body to slowly open and to release tension. Yoga Nidra is the ancient art of "yogic sleep" where participants are deeply relaxed but still aware. Please arrive 10 minutes early for set up and settle. This class is suitable for all level of yogi or yogini.
