Caroline is a natural vinyasa teacher, and effortlessly imparts her enthusiasm and affection for yoga. She favors creative transitions and deep opening. Healing Body and Soul - Free
Yoga for all those dealing with current illness or recovery from illness such as cancer. This class includes breathing exercises, slow arm stretches, healing yoga sequences, restorative poses and balancing work. This class is designed to hold space for self healing to continue/begin. Sponsored by the Midtown Yoga Community. Foundation level.
Combining yoga inspired postures with light aerobic movement is the goal of this class. Designed to build and tone lean muscle mass while cultivating strength and stamina. Although not required, you may bring your own 3-5lb weights. Open level.
Vinyasa - Community
Vinyasa means "flow" or merging movement with the breath. These classes focus on breathing and seek to move students through a sequence of postures as the breath flows in and out. Using this breath, heat or "tapas" warms the body allowing the practitioner to move deeper into postures and eventually deeper into their own personal practice. Vinyasa yoga increases strength, stamina and flexibility while calming and steadying the mind. This class style is inherently diverse and sequencing will vary with each instructor's personal flavor. Open level. This class is offered at a discounted fee in order to serve a wider community.
Ayurvedic Vinyasa Yoga
This class brings balance and order to the body and mind by applying ayurvedic principles to a vinyasa yoga practice. As the seasons and our busy lives constantly shift and change, ayurveda helps us thrive in the midst of our constantly changing situation.
