Student instructs the following:
  • Alignment Based Yoga
  • This class focuses on proper body alignment while practicing the traditional yoga postures.  Foundation level.

  • Vinyasa - Community
  • Vinyasa means "flow" or merging movement with the breath. These classes focus on breathing and seek to move students through a sequence of postures as the breath flows in and out. Using this breath, heat or "tapas" warms the body allowing the practitioner to move deeper into postures and eventually deeper into their own personal practice. Vinyasa yoga increases strength, stamina and flexibility while calming and steadying the mind. This class style is inherently diverse and sequencing will vary with each instructor's personal flavor. This particular class is taught by a different Student Teacher each week who has just graduated from our YTT program. It is offered as a Community Class ($7). Open level.

  • Restorative
  • A delicious surrender into quiet and supported postures on bolsters and blankets!  In this class, poses help relieve the effects of chronic stress.  The use of props provides a completely supportive environment for total relaxation.  Each restorative sequence is designed to move the spine in all directions.  The practice facilitates deep release in connective tissue and calms the nervous system.  This class has a maximum number of 25.  Foundation level.

  • Good Vibrations - Community
  • Laughter encouraged in a laid back atmosphere!  From the sound of OM at the beginning of class to the Dedication of Merit at the end, students are guided through a series of poses to release tension in the body and to relax the mind.  A perfect mid-week revival!  Variations are given in this multi-level class so that everyone can experience the power of yoga. Open level.  This class is offered at a discounted fee in order to serve a wider community.
