Kevin's yoga journey began with a bang. It was love at first asana in his first yoga class as he tapped into something he had not previously experienced. Participating consistently, his love for his practice deepened. The most significant impact yoga has had on his life broadened his perspective and continues to heal his mind, body, and soul. Through his devotion, he sparked a way into community with an intention to provide the greater blessing that yoga came to be in his life to others in this world. Grounded with love, Kevin's goal is to provide a beautiful state of union. His intention is to guide people to connect to their true self through asana. Certified in 2014 with a 200 RYT and with expanding practices of Ayurveda, Bhakti, and Yin, Kevin incorporates mindfulness and devotion in every class.
Kevin instructs the following:
Vinyasa means "flow" or merging movement with the breath. These classes focus on breathing and seek to move students through a sequence of postures as the breath flows in and out. Using this breath, heat or "tapas" warms the body allowing the practitioner to move deeper into postures and eventually deeper into their own personal practice. Vinyasa yoga increases strength, stamina and flexibility while calming and steadying the mind. This class style is inherently diverse and sequencing will vary with each instructor's personal flavor. Hot Yoga - Community
This asana class is taught in a room with auxiliary heaters that raise the temperature to about 90 degrees. The combination of activity and elevated temperature typically produces sweating, thereby reducing the body's toxins. The warmth of the room also promotes flexibility. We recommend using your personal mat for this class. Open level. This class is offered at a discounted fee in order to serve a wider community.
